When it comes to making an afternoon coffee, chocolate cake is always a very popular recipe and one of the favorites of housewives. Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • ½ cup (tea) of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup (tea) of milk
  • ½ cup (tea) of cocoa powder (non-chocolate)
  • 1 ½ xícara (chá) de farinha de trigo
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) baking powder
  • 1 spoon (tea) of vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Cover for (Chocolate Ganache):

  • 200 g of chocolate in the middle and bitter
  • 1 box of cream (200 g)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

Prepare the Cake:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to to 356 °F. Butter and flour in a shape of 22 cm in diameter, or line it with baking paper.
  2. All the timeadd the eggs, sugar, oil, and milk. Beat until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the cocoa powder and mix again until well incorporated.
  4. Sift together the flour,the baking powder and salt over the mixture in the blender. Whisk until the batter is completely mixed and no lumps. If you want to, then add in the vanilla extract and whisk quickly to incorporate.
  5. Pour the batter into in the prepared pan and bake in the oven. Bake in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
  6. Pull it out of the oven and let it stand in the way for about 10 minutes. Then unmold and cool completely on wire racks.

Preparing for the Topping:

  1. In a small sauce panwarm the heavy cream until it starts to release the steam (do not boil).
  2. Turn off the heat and to add to the chocolate, half-bitter, finely chopped. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the cream is smooth.
  3. Add the butter to the and keep stirring until everything is well incorporated and the ganache is shiny.
  4. Allow the ganache to cool down a little before spreading on the cake.
  5. Cover the cake with the rich chocolate ganache, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
