Fillet of baked fish is one option for a healthy and delicious for a quick bite to eat, and practice. It's a dish too, prepared during the period of easter, on good Friday, and Easter Sunday. The recipe has many ingredients that are tasty and it is really worth it to learn how to make this grilled fish dish. Here's a simple recipe, and tasty:

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia, halibut, or sea bass, with about 150-200 g each
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced or crushed
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 spoon (tea) of the dried herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano)
  • 1 spoon (tea) of paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, large, sliced
  • 1 lemon, cut in slices, to decorate (optional)
  • Parsley, chopped, to decorate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 392 °F
  2. Get ready for the variety of fish:
    • Pat dry the fish fillets with a paper towel, and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Season the fish:
    • Baste the steaks with the olive oil.
    • Spread the garlic on the steak.
    • Squeeze in the juice of the lemon over the fillets.
    • Sprinkle with the dried herbs, paprika (if using), salt and black pepper, to taste.
  4. Then add the veggies:
    • Place the slices of onion, and tomato, all around the fillets in a baking dish. It adds flavor and helps to keep the fish moist.
  5. Bake in the oven with the fish:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven preheated. Bake in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked and it falls apart easily with a fork. The time can vary depending on the thickness of your fillets.
  6. To finish the dish:
    • Remove the foil and let the fish cook for a little longer, if you wish, for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish and serve:
    • If desired, garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley to serve just before serving.

Suggestions:

  • Serve fillet of baked fish with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies.
  • With a green salad and have a great follow-up.
