Directions:

    In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it is golden and soft. Then add the chopped garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes, until the aroma of the garlic is released.
  3. Cooking the plantains:
    Add the sliced bananas to the pan and sauté them for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and soft. The plantains should be slightly caramelized, releasing some of their natural sugar.
  4. Mixing the cassava flour:
    When the bananas are ready, add the toasted cassava flour, stirring well to incorporate. Keep stirring until the mixture is smooth and the farofa is golden and crunchy. If you prefer a moister farofa, add a little more butter or olive oil to taste.
  5. Finishing the taste:
    Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If desired, add cashew nuts or crushed peanuts for an extra crunch and a special flavor. Finish with a sprinkling of chopped greens to freshen up the dish.
  6. Serving:
