Ideal for post-workoutAs a healthy dessert or quick snack, brigadeiro fit is practical, delicious and can be made in minutes with simple ingredients you probably already have at home.

Why make brigadeiro with whey?

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop (30g) of chocolate or vanilla whey protein
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 100% (unsweetened)
  • 2 tablespoons skimmed milk powder (optional for creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (or ghee butter)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk (can be vegetable)
  • Sweetener to taste (stevia, erythritol, xylitol etc.)

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, mix the whey, cocoa, milk powder and sweetener.
  2. Gradually add the milk until it forms a paste-like dough.
  3. Mix in the coconut oil and stir well.
  4. Microwave for 30 seconds (optional, just to give it a creamier texture) or stir vigorously until everything is incorporated.
  5. To roll upPlace in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes until firm. Then roll in cocoa powder, grated coconut or crushed nuts.
  6. To eat with a spoonconsume immediately or refrigerate for a few minutes to thicken.

Variation Tips

  • Brownie flavoradd 1 teaspoon of peanut or nut paste.
  • Truffle textureUse a little more coconut oil and less milk.
  • Crunchyadd cocoa nibs or chopped nuts to the dough.
  • Vegan versionuse vegetable protein and vegetable milk instead of whey.
