
Stroganoff is a dish that works great for any occasion, and is also very quick and practical to make. It can be prepared with meat, chicken, and here we bring you the recipe for the preparation made with shrimp. It is a dish that is usually served with rice and straw potatoes, creating a perfect harmony. Ingredients
- 500g of cleaned shrimp (shelled and gutted)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 200ml of cream
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- White rice and straw potatoes to accompany
Preparation:
- Prepare the shrimp: Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper and set aside.
- Sauté the onion and garlic: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Then add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Cooking the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, until they turn pink. Don't overcook them or they will become rubbery.
- Add the seasonings: Add the tomato paste, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add the cream: Reduce the heat and add the cream, stirring until everything is well incorporated. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
- Finish and serve: Cook for another 2 minutes, just to heat the cream. Turn off the heat and add the chopped parsley.
- Assembly: Serve the shrimp stroganoff hot, accompanied by white rice and straw potatoes.
