Brigadeiro is, without a doubt, one of the most beloved sweets in Brazil. The traditional recipe, made with condensed milk, butter and chocolate powder, has won hearts for generations. However, for those who love a smoother and creamier flavor, brigadeiro made with Ninho milk is an irresistible option. With a velvety touch and the strong flavor of powdered milk, this brigadeiro has become a real sensation. Here is the recipe for you to prepare this delicious delicacy at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons of Ninho milk (powdered milk)
  • 1 pinch of salt (optional, but enhances the flavor)
  • Ninho milk to roll the brigadeiros (or chocolate sprinkles, if you prefer)

Directions:

  1. Preparing the Base Mixture: In a medium saucepan, add the condensed milk, butter and Ninho milk. Stir well to ensure that all the ingredients are mixed and form a homogeneous paste.
  2. Cooking the Brigadeiro: Place the pan over low heat. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, stir constantly to prevent the brigadeiro from burning on the bottom of the pan. The ideal point for the brigadeiro made with Ninho milk is when it starts to come away from the bottom of the pan. This process takes about 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the intensity of the heat.
  3. Testing the Point: To test the brigadeiro’s consistency, do the “rolling stage” test: place a little bit of brigadeiro on a plate and let it cool for a few seconds. If it forms a dough that you can roll without it sticking to your hands, it’s ready!
  4. Rolling the Brigadeiros: Remove the mixture from the pan and let it cool slightly until it is lukewarm. When it is at the ideal temperature, grease your hands with a little butter and start rolling small portions of the mixture into balls. Then, roll the balls in Ninho milk (or sprinkles, if you prefer).
  5. Serving: Place the finished brigadeiros in paper cups and serve immediately. They are creamy on the inside and have a wonderful texture on the outside, with the irresistible flavor of Ninho milk.

Tips for a Perfect Brigadeiro:

  • If you prefer a firmer brigadeiro, cook it for longer, until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • To give it a special touch, you can add a tablespoon of cream at the end of preparation, which makes the brigadeiro even creamier.
  • If you want to innovate the flavor, try filling the brigadeiros with a piece of chocolate, dulce de leche or dried fruit.
